About this event

REMINDER: REGISTRATION FOR EVENTS OPEN UP A MONTH IN ADVANCE. PLEASE DO NOT SEND MONEY TO THE PAYPAL LINK AND EXPECT TO BE REGISTERED FOR THE EVENT.  WE'LL ANNOUNCE ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA, WHEN SIGNUPS ARE AVAILABLE.

Hank Gevedon leads this 3 session workshop. Once a month between February and April, we'll come together and work on building our own set of bellows, a traditional method of "fanning the flame" of a wood or coal forge. Seating for this workshop is limited - PLEASE ONLY SIGN UP IF YOU CAN MAKE ALL THREE SESSIONS. This is an advanced workshop, and should not be your first blacksmithing experience. Please see Jeff Farmer's workshops for that!

Hank Gevedon is an experienced craftsman and teacher in Eastern Kentucky, having previously led several classes at at Berea's Festival of Learnshops. He runs Reptile Toolworks, and is an accomplished author and songwriter. Learn more about his adventures and exploits at www.reptiletool.works and his youtube page.

Minimum age: 16 (adult must be present for minors).

This is a pay what you can event, with limited seats - there WILL be waitlists. Furniture classes are usually pretty expensive, and our volunteer group puts in untold hours prepping for these workshops with our instructors - we encourage you to give what you are able to (even if that's $0). Our grant with Berea College allows us to do what we can to make these events as accessible as possible.

Our event system does not allow for sliding scale pricing - please pay through our Paypal account (credit cards accepted) or through cash at the door.

We
WILL be reaching out as the event approaches to make sure you can still attend, if you've signed up.

Mission:
To foster a diverse community of doers, artists, entrepreneurs, life-long learners, and new makers, who can explore, create, and gain new skills in a shared space.
