Make the Mezza Luna: Build your own pizza cutter and peel with Hank Gevedon -- CANCELED

About this event

Spend the Saturday with Hank Gevedon, as we turn lawnmower blades and pallet wood into our own pizza peel and "mezza luna" pie cutter. This is a followup to our pizza oven workshop, but is open to everyone.
Folk will learn, in a compressed time period, about woodworking, blacksmithing, and toolmaking, during this day long class. Beginners welcome. Bring some pizza toppings too, and we can get a few pies rolling at lunch time.

Minimum age of 16 is needed for this workshop, and minors needs their adult present - for anyone younger, Hank prefers to talk to you before they join.

Please make sure to come dressed appropriately - closed toe shoes, no loose hair or cloth, and stuff you're comfortable grinding and pounding metal in. We will have some PPE available for the class.

Hank Gevedon is an experienced craftsman and teacher in Eastern Kentucky, having previously led several classes at at Berea's Festival of Learnshops. He runs Reptile Toolworks, and is an accomplished author and songwriter. Learn more about his adventures and exploits at www.reptiletool.works and his youtube page.
