From Water Heaters to Pizza Ovens: a recycling make and take with Hank Gevedon -- CANCELED
About this event
Hank Gevedon leads this single day, make and take workshop at our Makerspace, teaching folk about turning junk into treasure. Build and take home your own small, wood fired pizza oven in the "Kit and Take" event.
Class will end up with the main functioning structure of the oven complete, only requiring you to provide your own fire bricks, a stovepipe, and (optionally) paint to complete.
Minimum age of 16 is needed for this workshop, and minors needs their adult present - for anyone younger, Hank prefers to talk to you before they join.
Please make sure to come dressed appropriately - closed toe shoes, no loose hair or cloth, and stuff you're comfortable grinding and pounding metal in. We will have some PPE available for the class.
Hank Gevedon is an experienced craftsman and teacher in Eastern Kentucky, having previously led several classes at at Berea's Festival of Learnshops. He runs Reptile Toolworks, and is an accomplished author and songwriter. Learn more about his adventures and exploits at www.reptiletool.works and his youtube page.
